50 Haircuts in 50 days for the SPCA

Pennsylvania SPCA and the Beehive Hair Salon Set to Help
in World Record Attempt While Raising Funds to Help Homeless Animals
50 Haircuts in 50 States in 50 days!
…Philadelphia (July 19, 2011) — On August 11, the Pennsylvania SPCA and the Beehive Hair Salon will help a Kansas hairstylist, Patrick Lomantini, set a new Guiness World Record. Lomantini is attempting to do 50 haircuts in 50 states in 50 days, all to raise awareness about the plight of homeless and abused animals. Last year, Lomantini set a world record by cutting hair continuously for 72 hours while benefitting a Wichita, Kansas humane organization.
Lamantini will begin his cross country “hair-cut-a-thon” starting in Augusta, Maine on Aug. 1 and finish up on Sept. 19 in Wichita, Kansas. As he swings through Pennsylvania, he will make a stop at the Beehive Hair Salon, 2323 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. to cut hair and raise money for the Pennsylvania SPCA.
The public is invited to be a part of this world record hair cutting event to benefit the Pennsylvania SPCA. The cuts are free of charge with a suggested donation of $20. Make your appointment today by calling the salon at 215-235-4483 and be part of a new world record!
Human and canine representatives from the Pennsylvania SPCA will also be on hand throughout the day.
